Killing N/D Heir to the Masters as a ele
Hi there, I was in AB and encountered a N/D MM. I was quite frustrated after my SH almost did no damage to it. Burning was just transferred to another minion. I've faced these MMs as other classes and can beat them but how would a ele killing one? Attempt to out damage it didn't seem to be successful same with conditions. I also looked at other magics. Earth didn't do much and Water snare didn't help much either. Air was the only magic that could actually damage the MM. Any suggestions?

Ignore them, or cast some AoE skills at the minions
a minion master with dead minions isn't a threat

There's this thing called enchantment removal. Use it.
Or you could just kill all the minions so he's vulnerable.

/N and take Rend Enchantments, or Gaze of Contempt. That > Eles, Monks, anything that uses enchantments.
I still always run Mind Blast on my Elementalist, so energy is still easy to manage.

What cares it.. if the MM let transfer his dmg to his Minions or nuke his minions.. and Let the minions come to you and use Bed Of Coals+ Meteor shower
And.. maybe with Armor Penetration?

What are you doing trying to fight other players in AB CAP CAP CAP. If a battle with another player is goign to
a) requrie multiple payers to win
b) longer then a minute
c) result in your death or a standoff
Run around him and be a usefull player. MMs are only a threat to you if you figth them, they are slower then you so easily out manuvered. Avoid the Mob cap the shrines

If you're running a capping build, like a SH nuker, then you shouldn't be attacking other players anyway.

idk if u have noticed but when u run between shrines to cap...the enemy may appear. Run around? It's called a mob, they pick off teams.

The specific build you ask about ("Heir to...") isn't very dangerous. The biggest inconvenience about Aura/Lich MMs is their ability to maintain an army and use it to bodyblock players.
If I didn't bring anything specific versus enchantments I'd definitely let him be. Otherwise both lifestealing and enchantment removal works well.
The idea of "let's nuke the shit out of him" may or may not work. If you suddenly notice he isn't running Lich at all but Order of Undeath, it will probably NOT be such a good idea to stand withing casting range for the time required to fire off your spells.

I usually just nuke their minions, with fire spells they drop pretty rapidly. They're AI nubs, they don't know how to avoid AoE!
I've had some great fun packing [skill=text]Verata's aura[/skill] on my bar, too. I charge into the group, shout "Mine!" into local chat, then steal his minions. Of course, you can't maintain 'em, but temporary allies is better than no allies! And, of course, snatching all minions off a minionmaster is like diverting WoH - it's great fun to be a royal pain in the rear!

1. Ignore it and go cap. The MM is just there to stall you, and you're falling for it.
2. Nuke the minions and kill him when he has no minions left.
3. Bring a secondary with a hoser skill -- enchant removal, scourge healing, verata's aura, etc.
4. Knockdown during dark bond's 2 sec cast.

a) Ignore him. Don't let him stall you.
b) Kill the minions.
c) Let someone better suited for the job take him out.
You're going to have to acknowledge that there are some builds that you can't take out yourself (at least not on your own). If you come across one of these builds, simply ignore them and move on.

Go E/N and bring [skill]Rend Enchantments[/skill]
You dont even need any points invested since a N/D has no monk skills, and only has 5 enchants (assuming he brings verata's aura).

Run up to him as his minions all group around you, hit VA, and watch him run away
Now you have a temporary army of meat shields. By the time VA ends they're probably dead from degen or damage already.
